I can't believe it's been a month since I've updated! Bad MomBlogger!
We went to the dog beach again today - I posted some
pics in the gallery. Charlie loves running on the beach now. Dogs always come up to him to say hi, and while he's a bit wary, he isn't frightened. I do find it interesting that he raises his arms up like a football player playing defense. I really hoped I had a chess champion, but I have a feeling Charlie's gonna be a linebacker.
This past month, we have been helping Jason's parents settle into their new condominium, which is about 25 minutes away from our house. We've been spending lots of time unpacking, shopping, and just visiting with them. Charlie is a big fan of their house. He goes around opening and closing cabinets and drawers, shaking floor lamps to watch the pull-chains clang against the bases and generally being cute and funny for his captive audience. He loves being the star.
Jason's classes are wrapping up soon. To celebrate, we will be taking a vacation at the end of May to go meet baby Theo up in Seattle. We're all looking forward to the visit. Boo can't wait to be reuinted with his girlfriend Dixie. And Charlie can't wait to meet his future best partner-in-crime.
I also posted
some random pics of Charlie from the last month. Some of the new milestones: Charlie can walk down and up small steps - but bigger ones still require a strange crawling/scaling technique. He loves to build towers with blocks and knock them down. He also loves putting said blocks in various cupboards, closing the door, waiting a few seconds, then opening them to find, aha!, the blocks are still there!
He also loves playing in water, whether it be in his new water play table, the bath, or Boo's water dish. He could spend hours scooping water into a cup and dumping it out onto his feet.
I bought him crayons and paper to encourage his creative side, but he just gnawed at the crayon before throwing it across the room. But he loves to dance - we just got the soundtrack to Curious George and we like to listen to it while reading books or playing with blocks.
Enjoy the pics and I promise to update more often, Mom!
